Leonardo was named after the renowned Italian Renaissance artist, Leonardo da Vinci who made "The Mona Lisa" and "The Last Supper".
Raphael was named after the famous Italian Renaissance painter and architect, Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino(also known as Raphael) who's famous for his "Madonna".
Donatello was named after the Italian Renaissance sculptor, Donato di Niccolo di Betto Bardi(also known as Donatello) he was known for his sculptures in marble, bronze, and wood, and his work was some of the first to represent anatomy correctly and suggest a sense of individuality.
Michelangelo was named after the Renaissance artist Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, a master sculptor and painter known for works like the Sistine Chapel ceiling.
