Please ensure you follow the guidelines below to organize and submit your work. Your final deliverables should be structured as follows:
Folder Structure
Folder Structure
- Main Folder: Name this folder after your asset, e.g., YourName_AssetName.
- Please make sure these are all final assets!! Not the incremental saves.
- Subfolders: Inside your main folder, create the following subfolders (if applicable):
- Images
- FBX
- Maya
- PureRef
- Substance and/or 3D Coat
- UE5 (file --> zip project)
- Final Textures
- Images: Include your final rendered images and please specifiy which ones they are! as .png files. Details below.
- FBX Folder: Include your final production-ready .fbx asset. Ensure minimal drawcalls, optimized geometry, and UVs. Name the file AssetName.fbx.
- Maya Folder: Include your source Maya file containing the Source, High, and Low poly models. Ensure it is organized and cleanly named. Name the file AssetName.mb.
- PureRef Folder: Include your reference board. Name the file AssetName.pur.
- Substance Folder: Include a single Substance Painter file that is organized and cleanly named. Name the file AssetName.spp. Ensure there is variation in the albedo, roughness, etc.
- UE5 Folder: Include your final render scene in which you lit and rendered your character assets.
- Textures Folder: Include your final exported texture files from Substance Painter. Name the files as follows:
- T_AssetName_A.png
- T_AssetName_N.png
- T_AssetName_ORM.png
- T_AssetName_E.png
- Link to Folder: Provide a link to your main folder containing all the subfolders and files.
- Rendered Images: Post the following final rendered images in-line in your forum post:
