The ruined version or a recreation of what it looked like when it was first built?

Professor I will like to do a recreation of what it looked like when it was first built. But I have a question There isnt many images or ideas of that it would have looked like. Would it be wise to have or add color to it or can I model it the way it looks. Right now but if it was new if that makes sense? Any feed back would be much appreciated thank you.

Yeah, that's a tough one. If you don't have enough reference of what it looked like when it was built, it probably isn't a good project. You shouldn't make it up for a history class.

If you can only find reference photos of the current ruins, I'd model that.
