    • Edit yourself into the same shot (using Premiere)
    • You need to be in the reference
*NEW* information based on this month's audio clip:
    • This month's audio clip only has 1 audible voice...
    • If your personalized story requires a secondary character to react to the 1 talking, you may include 2 characters in the scene
    • The assignment only requires 1 character if it allows your story to be told in an apparent manner

Story: 2 'friends' are talking, a man and a woman, man makes makes a joke, woman then talks down on him because she doesnt really care for him, she basically crashes out and the man is shocked and sad
Char1: Woman; a tiny bit Naive, slightly condescending & arrogant, cheerful
    Char2: Man; humorous, sensitive, reactive

    Inspirations:

Char1: seeing some friends who were in relationships with other people break up and talk about it, usually nasty breakups, 2 particular examples that are very saddening to hear about, using the people that was the bad one in the relationship
Char2: dealing with fake friends that didn't care about my input or what I had to say

    Emotional Changes
    Char1: Annoyed, embarrassed, uncaring
    Char2: Relaxed, shocked, depressed

The main obstacle is character 1 is uninterested in what character 2 is having to say they do overcome it by being rude
They are located at an interior setting (either bar, living room, or kitchen)

      • 1 sentence summary of the story within the 11 second clip:
        • This story is about one character talking to her friend about how she just went out to eat and told the waiter, "you too!" when he told her to have a good dinner.
      • Who are the characters? What are their personalities?
        • The talking character is a girl in her early 20s, who gets some social anxiety at gatherings or crowded areas and can say some silly things when nervous. She's typically lighthearted but can still get embarrassed but usually laughs it off.
        • The friend is a carefree friend, also in her early 20s. She is somewhat of a hit or miss with her behavior, sometimes she'd laugh this situation off with her friend, but in this scenario, she's being slightly judgment and not responding to the friend.
      • What personal experiences and inspirations can you bring in to the characters and their acting?
        • I personally have done this exact thing and also usually laugh the situation off, which can help me to identify the subtle details in her acting
        • I haven't had a friend not respond to me before, but I have had people in general that I would try to talk with and they'd completely ignore me, either because they couldn't hear me or they didn't want to interact.
      • What is each character's emotion change through the piece?
        • The talking character is first slightly nervous/embarrassed while talking with the second character then she's even more nervous and embarrassed (nervous laughing) when the second character doesn't respond and gives her a judgmental look.
      • What is the main obstacle & do they overcome it?
        • The main obstacle is comfortably telling another person an embarrassing situation. She does not overcome it as she gets extremely embarrassed after the second character doesn't respond and is judging.
      • Where are they located?
        • In their shared apartment, specifically the living room, the Talking character is standing, while the judgmental character is sitting on the couch.

            • 1 sentence summary of the story within the 11 second clip

Main character sets up a tea party for her friend; MC expresses that she believes she's best friends with other character, other character disagrees and she feels rejected.
            • Who are the characters? What are their personalities?

              Char A:
              Friendly, Open, Thoughtful

              Char B:
              Indifferent, Careless
            • What personal experiences and inspirations can you bring in to the characters and their acting?

I don't think that rejection has to necessarily be romantic; There's tons of times where I've put a ton of thought into an activity for a friend, knowing very well that I care more about our friendship than the other party does and that's extremely rejecting. I want to channel that!
            • What is each character's emotion change through the piece?

Main character is happy and having a fun time, and expresses that she believes Character B is her best friend. After realizing this is not reciprocated, she becomes sad and upset.

Character B is indifferent and aloof, just there for the tea. After MC expresses their closeness, Character B becomes uncomfortable and wants to leave.

              Other character
            • What is the main obstacle & do they overcome it?
Main character believes they're closer than they are, and wants confirmation her friend feels the same. Friend rejects her and MC doesn't overcome her obstacle, instead deciding to start ignoring her friend.
            • Where are they located?
Somewhere a bit more intimate / smaller, but location can vary (indoors, outdoors; all that matters is that there's a distinction that makes it more closed in)

story: a woman is talking to somebody about something she said to her date that seemed to bother him and she seems unbothered by it when in reality she is dying on the inside

personalities: the girl talking is someone in her 20s maybe and she has anxiety when it comes to her love life and she plays it off as jokes and its not just her love life its for anything in her life.
the other person is someone who just listens to her problems like the carefree friend you can trust and talk too

personal experiences inspirations: i usually says things that i didn't mean anything by it but after i say i immediately regret it and will be in my head for a few days. i can have the main character fiddle with her hands etc.

the main character is embarrassed and nervous throughout the entire time and the second character looks at her with a judging look or just a blank face to show they are just listining to her

the main obstacle is that she is saying her problems in an embarrassed way to her friend while also trusting them but the second character is just looking at her like 'girl u serious?'

the setting is somewhere in an apartment, and she is walking in circles or sitting down on her couch

Main character is venting to a nail salon artist and is slowly falling into despair.

She's typically very animated and lively with big eyes but is being more and more distraught when she keeps thinking about her situation

Personal experience would be when i vent to friends about school stuff or drama but theres nothing i could do to help the situation

the main character starts off a bit hopeful of being able to salvage her situation she's venting off of but eventually gives up

Her obstacle is the drama/problem she has to deal with and her solution to that is to try to brainstorm it with the employee

The setting is in a corner of a nail salon, with only the 2nd character hands/arms in shot

Main person talking to friend, having regrets. (friend is there but optional to animate)

personal experience is when I was talking to my friend about something and i was like nooo and they gave me like a look the whole time

Main character is having regrets then kinda like breaks down at the end, the office style (Pam crying specifcally)

the obstacle is main character herself for being bad or some

setting is probably somewhere with benches

                          • 1 sentence summary of the story within the 11 second clip
A security guard at a restaurant is playing games with his friends, until he sees that one of the animatronics has disappeared!
                          • Who are the characters? What are their personalities?
Security guard is a struggling college student, deciding to take on a seemingly easy job. He is particularly apathetic to the state of the restaurant, and is only doing it for the easy buck.
                          • What personal experiences and inspirations can you bring in to the characters and their acting?
One time at the AD building when I was really tired during my first freshman year. I was at the labs and saw something in the corner of my eye while I wasn't doing work. It freaked me out so bad, and now I'm using that memory to build the foundations of my animation.
                          • What is each character's emotion change through the piece?
Security guard goes from scared to exasperated, to hurriedly-scared.
                          • What is the main obstacle & do they overcome it?
The pizza place and it's inhabitants are the security guards main obstacle. However instead of overcoming, the security guard flees the scene.
                          • Where are they located?
A restaurant! (not related to anything).
