  • WIP Full Env #1| Fall 2024

    Due EOD (12:00am): (10/04/24)

Lets see those full environments. I am going to pay extra attention to your hero props, but I'll also be checking for refinement of your sidekick props, light rig, and shot composition.

Answer this question: Have you started texturing?

    Deliverables:
    • An Image of your 2D Concept Art Reference (.png)
    • Turnaround Screenshots:
      • Still images from your Substance Painter scene
      • Still images from your Maya scene
      • One render at low samples from your shot camera under your current light rig

I'm not quite ready to texture just yet, but I should be able to get a lot done over the weekend, so I'm hoping to be ready to texture the main prop by Tuesday

I am ready to start texturing, have baked tested the cushions of my couch, and began adding materials. I am still currently working on getting the neon lights to look right within the render so I have pictures of that update. I have also started to further flesh out some of my sidekick props within the scene.

Started texturing and having some issues but I think my home device is the problem. No bake errors in Substance Painter thankfully.

I'm slowly adding my smallest models in to "clutter up" the tables, but still some bigger models I'm trying to figure out. I was able to solidify the shape of the room with no gaps so that will be ready for texture soon. I tried to use the cloth simulation in ZBrush because i don't have Marmoset at home, but it wasn't looking correct.

I tweaked the lighting from last week's critiques, making sure the piano spotlight is the brightest in the scene. I also have the bounce light hidden here. I wanted to get the walls textured so I will know more what that light could look like on top of my textures. Here is the stairs POV I want my render to be from. The short chair and round table are also UVed and ready to be textured.

I'm not ready to texture, I did however do a bake test of my tree. The light rig is still having issues with the HDRI. Currently I am refining some of the sidekick props and plan to finish the other bigger props over the weekend.

I have not started texturing. So far, I've completed the high poly of my hero prop and have begun the creation of the low poly. I am aiming for my hero prop to be ready for texturing by the end of this weekend.

I UV'd a couple different books and duplicated them all around my scene. I modeled a couple other small items like post it notes and boxes and refined my shelves a bit. I started quad draw on my hero prop but have not finalized it. After that I think I should be ready to start texturing.

While I haven't started texturing, my main hero prop is ready to texture. I'm still working on the stairs to fix the topology and uvs.

I've started focusing more on the secondary props and layout, the couches are uv'd as well as the small tables.

Finished modeling the 3 rusted device/heater things (left, top right, right of door). Also did some potter plants
Then worked on UVs and started texturing everything that's concrete in the scene.
