  • Golem WIP #2 | Spring 2025

    Due before class (10:30am): (02/25/2025)

Your last WIP before the final submission on Thursday! Over the weekend ensure you address the notes on your most recent grade.

There is written and visual feedback for you to peruse so a sizeable evolution is expected over the weekend. Please don't add too many tiny details until you are confident that you are matching your concept.

Otherwise, you will lose work if you receive feedback on further proportional changes. Don't hesitate to reach out and simply ask if you're ready to start detailing everything for final look and polish.

***You will focus on creating well-defined geometry and form for all of the character elements represented in the 2D concept art while maintaining alignment with proportions, silhouette, and overall aesthetic.***

Include your name in the post!

Answer these questions: Did you do a side by side comparison of your sculpt to your 2D concept multiple times? Are you matching?

    Deliverables:
    • An Image of your 2D Concept Art Reference (.png)
    • Turnaround Renders:
      • You are uploading your compiled Photoshop renders utilizing BPR from ZBrush posted directly inline of your UIW3D Forums post. (.png)
      • Minimum Views (Front, ¾ front, Side, ¾ Back views)

I do a side by side every so often. I believe it is matching except for the forearms mine still feel a bit thin.

I compared my sculpt to my 3d asset multiple times, and am still missing a few details

I did a side-by-side comparison while working, and I believe I’m matching the reference pretty closely. However, there are a few things that could be tweaked.

About 8 hours since Last Thursday. Yes I took a look at the reference photo for comparison especially for the proportions on the limbs and body.

Question: Yes I did, I would do it multiple times. For the most part they are matching just need to make some minor adjustments.

I took a closer look at the refs, which mainly had fixed sizes and portions.

I have been doing a side by side comparison throughout this project.
