Sword | Block out
Objective:
Create the foundational shapes for a sword model in Maya.
Instructions:
1. Set Up Your Scene:
Open Maya and set up a new project.
Create a new scene and save it as "Sword_Basics_[YourName].mb".
2. Create Basic Shapes for Your Sword:
Blade
Guard
Handle
Pommel
3. Position and Scale:
Position each part of the sword in alignment with the blade.
Adjust the scale to make sure each part is proportional.
4. Save and Submit:
Save your scene with your name in the filename as: "[YourName]Sword_blockout.mb"
5. Upload to one drive:
Upload sword project to one drive
Submission:
Take a screenshot of your completed block out of the sword and submit it to the forums along with reference images of the sword.
