With the lab computers now having Maya 2022 and Maya 2023, the computers now also have VRay 5, and VRay 6 installed. While Maya should launch the correct version of VRay when opened, if you choose to use the render server to speed up your renders, you may run into some issues as there are two different versions of the render server installed, both of which have the same name. To check that you have the right version open (Version 5 for Maya 2022, and version 6 for Maya 2023):

If you have the wrong version open for your corresponding Maya version, search up Launch VRay Render Server again, and click , "Open file location" to the right of it
Once there, click the back arrow, which will take you to the file path for both VRay versions

Finally, go into the folder for the correct VRay version you want to use, and then launch the render server from there
