        https://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=Animat...04709071370564

        Full Job Description

Jade Ember Studios is looking for an animator with at least 1-3 years experience to join us in creating an original action/adventure 3D title. Ideally you are focused, skilled at efficient planning and teamwork, and driven to continuously grow and branch out your skills. Above all else, you are comfortable with finding clever solutions that fit the needs of the project and your team.

As part of the team, you will:

Be responsible for rigging, animating, and implementing animations into the Unity game engine for characters, cutscenes, and enemies throughout the game.

Take rough-blocked cutscenes from concept to completion: blocking, testing, integrating effects and camera work, ensuring audio and visuals sync up, and adding polished animations to the final product.

Be responsible for the realization of a cohesive visual experience that both provides great character and weight to cutscenes, while meeting the needs of the story, gameplay mechanics, and visuals as outlined by the project lead.

Proactively engage to brainstorm and develop animations for gameplay and cutscenes, and provide constructive feedback along the way. This is a small team, and isn’t a place for you to sit back and wait for assignments!

Always be ready to question your own process and improve it in order to meet the project’s vision in a smarter, more creative, or more effective way.

Set production deadlines for yourself, then hit them regularly. And, should something change, communicate that promptly and work with the team to find solutions.

And above all else, you have a desire to add a positive, collaborative voice to a team where each role matters, while striving to grow and expand what you’re capable of on a daily basis. You’re not afraid to ask for help when it matters.

        Benefits
        • Competitive salary + PTO.
        • 4/10 flexible weekly office schedule and self-directed freedom to work from home when practical.
        • Comprehensive medical + dental insurance.
        • Comfortable, quiet office space located just outside downtown Longmont, Colorado, right near the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

        Required Skills

Ideally, our animator is someone who:
        • Has 1-3 years professional experience in Animation, preferably with Blender for some part of that.
        • Excels at visual storytelling through use of motion, conveying character, emotion and weight through lively animation.
        • Is thoroughly familiar with Unity 3D development workflows.
        • Has a minimum of one shipped game in which their primary responsibility was related to 3D animation in some capacity.
        • Understands how to creatively apply critique without deviating from vision, and how to give critique while remaining clear and motivating.
        • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
        • Has a love for story-centric action, RPG, adventure, and metroidvania games.

        Bonus Skills

It’s a plus if you have some of these as well:
        • Experience creating robust, user-friendly rigs in Blender.
        • 3D asset production skills using Blender, ZBrush, etc. with an emphasis on characters.
        • Unity C# scripting experience (particularly related to Unity Animator integration).
        • Degree or experience in art, design, or animation.

        Application Requirements
        • The more we can get to know you in your application, the better! To that end, please be sure to include a brief cover letter introducing yourself and outlining what you feel you could uniquely add to our team.
        • In addition to your resume, a portfolio of your work via website or video link is required. In the case of work that was collaborative, please be sure that any displayed work clearly indicates what you were personally responsible for.
        • As we are based in Longmont, Colorado and this is not a remote work position, you will be required to relocate if you are not local. We do offer relocation assistance benefits.

        Job Type: Full-time

        Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
