Color 100 pts - Are the color applications matching the concept art? Color applications should include the eyes, lips, face paint and varied/believable color throughout the entire piece. Flat colors will not be acceptable for full credit here.
Pose 100 pts - Is the pose representing the concept art? Is the pose broken or awkward looking? Some anatomy rules may be bent, but not broken to serve the sculpt's rhythm and form.
Anatomy 100 pts- Make sure that the main character's anatomy looks natural and not an ecorche model. Ensure that there is not a lot of bumpiness or waves when it should be smooth.
Norman Rockwell, “The viewer will forgive anything… except heads and hands.” Their gesture and proportion must be spot on or the viewer will regard the work as amateurish.
Props 100 pts- Do the props, ropes, feathers, sword, skulls, etc. look true to the concept art? Do the feathers look like feathers or something else? Ensure the ropes, straps and similar items look like the concept art. Don't just mask quickly and call it a day. You don't want to spend a lot of time on something and have it look sloppy. Be smart, use Lazy Mouse with your masking brush to ensure that your lines are clean.
Render 100 pts - For this you will need a shot that is exactly like the concept art and Front, Both Right and Left, Back and 3/4ths. Don't forget to turn on perspective by pressing 'P' on your keyboard. Adjust the perspective in 'Draw' on your top menu. Ensure that you have all lights active and placed in a visually pleasing way. I took the time to go over these concepts at the end of my stream yesterday as well as the post processing in Photoshop.
Overall Impression 50 pts - Maybe you didnt nail the anatomy, or one of the other areas, but it looks good still. Maybe it's not the best in class but your improvement over the semester is obvious within the piece.
Best of luck to you all, You should all be very pleased with your progression and bring that confidence with you into all your endeavors. You have all it takes to succeed.
