AD405-03 Stuck on Bios Screen

When trying to exit out of the MSI bios screen (the "x" in the upper right hand corner), the computer never boots back up to Windows start up screen; seems to just return to this:



Edit: when I forced a shut down (via the power button), the normal windows start-up screen would appear and I could log in normally. Restarting the whole computer causes the bios to show up again.
