QUEST OBJECTIVES
Blizzard Animation is looking for a Character Modeling Artist Intern. Candidates should have some experience working with digital modeling software to create dynamic and appealing characters. From the stylized characters of Overwatch or Hearthstone to photorealistic Cinematic models from the Warcraft Universe, the applicate must be excited to tackle any design tasked to them.
Our ideal candidate is highly motivated and enthusiastic to share the workload of our hard-working, talented team. You will be right amongst the other artists and be held responsible to help assist the team in creating characters and props for our upcoming Cinematics.
Eligibility Requirements
Currently enrolled in a college or university
Returning for at least one more semester or quarter following the Summer 2019 internship
Able to work fulltime hours for 11 – 12 weeks at the Blizzard office indicated in this job posting between May 2019 – August 2019 or June 2019 – September 2019 (group dates depend on when you get out of school)
Authorized to work in the US
LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
Basic understanding of Maya and the production pipeline
Basic understanding of Zbrush and/or Mudbox
Basic understanding of UVing, Topology and Displacement map extraction
Ability to collaborate with the Character Modeling Team and bring your own passion, ideas and creativity to Blizzard Animation as a whole
RECOMMENDED TALENTS
Strong understanding of anatomy, proportions, form and silhouette
Knowledge of Blizzard’s cinematic visual style
