What is a good program to use for generating textures that's similar to bodypaint?

    Bodypaint is a good one.

Are you interested in "painting" on the model? Or what is the part of BP you are interested in?

Like you can view the model and rotate and paint on it.

Body paint is really the top of the heap right now. Right Hemisphere has something called Deep Paint that does some things kind of similar to that - but that's kind of fallen off.

Ben Savage has been doing a lot of work with 3D Coat and he seems to like it. You'll have to ask him more about it; but he's really fast with it. Maybe if you come in on Fridays when he's manning the labs, you can convince him to show you more about it.
