    How to get Maya on your home machine:
    1. Go to https://www.autodesk.com/education/f...tware/featured to get the free version for students.
    2. You need to establish eligibility as a student. Click the Get Started blue button.
    3. You'll have a few other windows here where you'll be asked to upload proof that you're a student. You can upload your ID, transcript, or acceptance letter. It takes a little while (30 minutes or so) for them to confirm.
    4. Once you get the email to confirm you're active, follow the links to get back to install Maya from the Autodesk Educaitonal site.
    5. Download and install Maya.
    6. You'll be presented with a Serial Number and a Product Key. You'll need both of these.
    7. Click the Browser Download and follow instructions there.
    8. When Maya is installing it will ask you to Select additional components be sure to check
      1. Arnold for Maya 2020
      2. Substance in Maya 2020
      3. (you can also install Bifrost Extension for Maya 2020, but we don't use that often
    9. When you launch Maya for the first time, look for Activate the license. You'll need the Serial Number and Product key from step 9.
