    Hello everyone,

Hopefully there is someone out there with a little knowledge on getting a couple of home computers to talk to each other. I have a crossover cable and I wanna have 2 pc's running windows XP home to exchange files but I haven't been able to have any luck with it. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the to talk to each other without getting a hub and all that jazz. I just wanna use this crossover cable to transfer a folder that is about 15 gb. I have had success with my laptop that is running 2000 and my computer running XP home.

    Thanks
    Can you hear me now?

Why not just pull the HD out of the one PC and chain it to the other and then transfer the files and then put the HD back?

      could be a million things

make sure that each of the computers dont have the default firewall turn on(its crappy DL a good one) and make sure that both computers are on the same workgroup, and make sure that both computers have shared folders.
