I've heard a lot about houdini but there isn't much in the way of actual video demonstrations. (something they are trying to rectify) But this video nicely illustrates houdini's crazy procedural node power. (not canned fx as the word implies for other 3d apps) It's just impressive. I wish I could get my hands on it. I can understand why side effects has been able to maintain their ridiculous pricing scheme.
