Photoshop Brush Problem?

my paint brush is not producing any color that i select. yet my pencil does. i think i must of hit a button while under the the brush tool. if anyone knows how to fix it or knows where i can reset the default options on photoshop, i would really appreciate the help. thanks :confused:

What about the Opacity and Flow options, make sure they aren't like at 1%.

yeah they are both at 100%

Are you working on a new layer?
Are you working in a locked layer?
Is anything selected?
Are you sure you're using the Paint Brush and not the History Brush tool?
Can you post a full screen screenshot of you tools and settings?
