Description
The intern will work closely with Design Managers, Production Manager, and Designers to take layouts of international publications to finish with minimal supervision.
Requires ability to take direction and follow through, maintain level of accuracy hroughout the production of a job, and complete assignments on schedule within the time estimated.
Skills needed include the ability to communicate clearly, an eye for detail, and good organization.
Position requires work primarily in Quark v6.11.
Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing final approved artwork for printing/output including placing final approved copy and images into the layout, making copy revisions, ensuring all images are high-res for output, seeing that all fonts are collected in their correct forms, generating PDFs, and archiving final files.
Requirements
Prefer a Junior student graduating Winter 2005 or Spring 2006.
Quark experience essential.
Photoshop and Illustrator knowledge preferred.
Must be available 30-40 hours per week.
