We currently have an opening for a top notch individual at our Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas for the position of Graphic Production Artist. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to produce all creative development from press stages, to include the quality of the print and proof to ensure standards and time requirements are adhered to. Develop a creative plan for each of the company's print advertising vehicles that reaches the consumer in an accurate and eye catching manner. Format all print created for all advertising vehicle formats to fulfill weekly print orders, to include newspaper ads, inserts, coupon books, direct mail efforts, in-store signage and flyers, as well as various home office design projects. Set and follow project timelines and handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet print vendor deadlines. Perform quality control functions to include press and color checks. Manage market versioning, address file maintenance and proofing of all print advertising and in-signage.
The ideal candidate for this position must possess 3+ years experience in creative design or related work as well as web design experience. Creativity and a flair for developing fresh eye catching design work. Must have advanced skills in Illustrator and Quark. Must be adept at using the latest computer equipment that facilitates high quality design work that can be quickly developed. Must be a team player and needs to be able to effectively interact with others in the department and company. Must be able to handle several projects simultaneously. Must have great attention for detail and organization. Must be able to travel by plane/car.
