    Okay kind folks, here are my final 2 and 4 value images. I hope you like them! :D

    is it abstract enough? did i do my work? is it brilliant?

      I really like the windows... The shading on the 4 value study is quite nice too. It really captures the feeling I get when I look at that building.

        Nice...one thing that bothers me, however, is the repeat patterns in the foliage.

              Nice job. I really agree with Sam's comment about the foliage and take a second look at the windows—especially on the right side of the 2 value study. The shapes are good but something is not quite right with the angles. They lean. A bit "toonish".

                Yea, I heed your remarks, but would you have any suggestions on the foliage? And straightening the arches shouldn't be a big problemo.

                  You do need the value breaks in the foliage but look at the simplier shapes you've used in the reat of the compostion for what shapes to use. Look at the top of the tower, the windows etc. for the basic vocabulary of form and adapt from there. Just step back from it and look for a bit.
