Job description: New Spanish-language publishing company in Texas is looking for a Deputy Design Director. The candidate is a lead creative designer, with more than 5 years of experience in newspaper processes, production and design, with experience managing and training a group of designers.
High knowledge of Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator are required.
Responsibilities include leading and training the group of designers, designing pages, covers and special features, and supervising production processes until the daily close of the edition.
The candidate is bilingual in Spanish and English. Previous newspaper experience is highly valuable, including the interaction with reporters, editors, illustrators and photographers.
Legal authorization to work in the US is highly desirable.
