  • First Female Nude Model: Athletic

I've posted this model already at cgtalk.com and I've gotten alot of feedback about the head looking masculine. I'm trying to fix that now but in the mean time here are some renders of it.

actually, no offense man, but if you take away the gozangas, it looks like sephiroth from final fantasy 7! Good work though man. This is Josh by the way.

I think it's looking great. I like that the model is athletic and not the typical waif of a girl usually seen in 3D. Her face may look a little androgynous - but obviously the face was not your focus. I think the body is working very well.

Once you get the face a bit tighter I think you'll have a masterpiece here. I don't mind that she's more masculine in her face, Elektra in Daredevil (the woman who plays Alias) has a jaw like a man, but she is obviously all woman; and I think making things too soft on her face would spoil your look.

This is good work. Post some more.

One reason her face is looking a little masculene is maybe because of too many lines instead of curves. Usualy a womens face is represented by ovals and a guys by box's

For the style you have just modelled I think it looks great, much like a sort of Greek style chick, it looks like the style stays consistantly hard and athletic throughout the whole deal. For some reason I think Linda Hamilton from Terminator would look like this if there ever was a nude pic of her.

But if you are trying to go for the more Feminine look, its obvious alot of things need to be tweeked. Reduce the forehead eyebrow size, nose can be a bit smaller with a more narrower bridge, the chin I think is the part thats doin its masculinity, so instead of it having such a flat end have it curve down softly to a more point thats a little bald at the end. I like the attempt with the crows feet along the side of the eyes. Lips need to be sharper, as well as that little indention between the nostrils and the upper lip, needs to be more defined and narrower.(could be a nurbs prob) But thats just my opinion if you want the face more feminine,

Boobs are fine I guess, those are some pretty athletic boobs, but they stay consistant thats fine, at least it shows you arent trying to be like all those Poser users, that just gotta have Porno-looking boobies, where they're like POW!! you know out there.

Other than that it a great model. keep going

hey sorry if I sound too harsh, but just making a critical analysis, really man, its nothin to do with any sort of biasism, once I start posting some of my work, I'd be open to all negative and positive commentary, and I'll gladly accept it. But hehe... of course i'll be expecting the worst of comments no matter what I think of my own work, its just a better way for all of us to improve cause like Watkins said, "Mommy's always going to think your work is brilliant"

Does look pretty masculine at parts, but I think it's an overall good model. Yeah, like Adam said, it's different from the usual. Don't like helpless females.
