  • Has anyone here been to "Schlitterbahn"?

My brother and his family are coming to SA this summer to visit and want to go to Schlitterbahn for a day. He saw it on the Travel Channel's "Top 10 Waterparks" and it was ranked #1... so he wants to go.

I checked their site and its $30 a shot for adults and $26 for kids!

Is it worth it? Do you know of any discounts?

    Thanks in advance...

it really is worth it--the place is fantastic! you just have to get there really early so you can go on all the rides 'cause they have soooo many!

but sometimes they do have cupons for a few dollars off. they are usually on pepsi cans and at Wendys...

i'm sure someone else will know other discounts :)

        some schlitterbahn tips:

pack your own lunch. its really expensive!

make sure you ride the tube rides, they're the best oh and the crazy river or whatever at the new park is fun.

yeah lines are long, be ready to wait

and if you havent tried dippin dots, i recommend trying them!

First off..audrey is right when she says to pack a lunch. The prices are extremely high. Its a fun waterpark if you want to wait in line for about an hour to ride a 2 minute thrill. Also, I don't recommend taking the little ones, unless of course you are going just to entertain them! :) When you go, tell me what you think about it. All i know is that when i do end up going, I usually pay $30 to throw down a few beers and play sand volleyball because I hate waiting in the lines. If you are like me, save yourself some money, buy the kids a floatie, and head out to the lake.

We have season passes to Sea World (they are $75 a person for two seasons, and we are in year #2 and have been about 6 times so far), so Schlitterbahn is a one time deal for me, basically because my brother is coming to town.

... and I don't mind waiting in line, besides, we'll be going the week of May 17th so little kids are still in school. Hopefully it won't be crowded.

              sea world discount

              Hey Mr. Clayton:
You should have asked me about a discount for the Sea World Season Passes. I have a discount coupon for a gold passport and you would only have to pay $54.99 for each passport. I guess you didn't know but I do work there.

We bought them during the beginning of the 2002 season... but when they expire after this season I'll definately ask...

(But my brother and his family want to go to Seaworld too, and we have a coupon book with the discounts in it, but if you can do better, we need two Adult and one Child pass, she's 3...)

Clarissa (another CART student) works there too. Now I know two people that work there!

                  Sea World

Actually, Clarissa and I worked together as Clericals at Sea World for 3 seasons. I influenced her to be a CART student here at UIW! We critique each other's work.

The room in the admin building where you pick up applications has coupons I saw them on the table the other day.

Well, we went to Schlitterbahn yesterday.... and it was GREAT!!!!!

(I'm recovering form some slight sunburns, but I'm okay.)

Because only half of the park was open, the admission was $18, which wasn't to bad. My brother and I went on the Master Blaster twice, the Black Knight once and the Wolf Pack once in about 45 minutes during the morning.

After lunch we headed over to the other half and did the family blaster 4 times in a row, they let us get off then back on again. I was even able to do the BoggieBahn quite a few time and almost did a trick!

Then we finished up over at the other part and just about walked right onto every waterslide. There probably only about 500 people at the park that whole day, it was great!

... now just to see what the other half of the park is like!?

I really like Schiliterrbauhn (or however you spell it). The only time I went was when i was in 6th grade. Oh well.
